Our network diversity and reliability speaks for itself. During 9/11
the fiber-based network serving all our downtown locations was
completely operational.
Mission Statement
At Econotek Communications we believe it is our duty to inform and
serve the client the best we can. We will strive above all to provide
service in a timely, efficient manner, to inform our customers so they
have the ability to make a proper decision based on complete knowledge
of the choices available, to treat any problem no matter how small as
important, and to keep our clients informed as to the status and
resolution of their concern in a timely fashion.
To further demonstrate our commitment to our community, we contribute a
portion of our net revenues each month to effective, community-based
charities for children.
Network Design
Maximum uptime and reliability to customers drives all of our
technology. Our business was founded to serve the Wall Street
community, where continuous, uninterrupted service is essential. We use
multiple providers at each location and sonet technology to ensure
uninterrupted throughput.
Redundancy is key to running a reliable network. Each of our digital
switch elements is duplicated. We have redundant power sources and the
latest technology to back-up our telephone and Internet networks in
addition to multiple satellite receivers for our TV network. We do
everything possible to keep you our customer connected at all times.
Company History
Econotek Communications was formed in 1997 just after the deregulation
of the telecommunications industry. We cut our teeth into the business
sector where even one minute of downtime is a major problem. Econotek’s
top priority is to provide our customers with reliable, uninterrupted
service round the clock.
The
company was originally founded to supply the business community with
better telecommunications services and greater reliability at a lower
price than what was available through Verizon. Today, the demand for
premium service at an economical price is greater than ever, and we are
proud to be delivering the best to a growing number of businesses and
residents.
Our first project entailed hardwiring
175,000 square feet of office space at 75 Maiden Lane in lower
Manhattan. By the end of 2002, Econotek will have over 10,000,000
square feet of Manhattan real estate and well over 150,000 operational
telephone lines.
Within the residential community, our services are tailored to luxury
apartments in Manhattan where we deliver the same high standard of
digital communication technology at affordable prices. Our success is
based on strong conservative oversight and a caring work force.
Econotek is a registered CLEC (Commercial Local Exchange Carrier),
licensed for Commercial and Residential customers within New York by
the NYS Public Service Commission.
